“DON’T PLAY WITH YOUR ADHKAAR”.

Another way to interpret this statement is, “I love you and I want the best for you!”. I thank Habeebee for his constant reminder because I know how lax I could have been. There are several reasons why a muslim should never joke with adhkaar: the protective functions, the extra rewards obtainable, the tendency to forget or become too lazy to complete them etc.

But what does it really take to make these adhkaar part and parcel of our lives?

*Hisnul Muslim (the handbook) is just 200naira or less. The app is free on Google play and Apple store.

*The transliteration, translation and references are included to make it easy for beginners and encourage adherence.

*The morning adhkaar takes about 30 minutes (or 45 minutes max if you complete “la ilãha illaLlãhu wahdahu lã shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa Huwa ‘alã kulli  shai ‘in Qadeer” x100)

*The adhkaar after the 5 daily salawaat will take you just 15 minutes and almost all can be recited on the go.

*You don’t have to sit down to do everything. You can recite them while you’re washing (not in the bathroom), cooking, driving, walking etc.

*There are short and simple du’aa that you can easily memorize and recite; in case you’re too “super busy” to do the longer ones.

So what is your excuse? Weigh the benefits of these adhkaar and the risk of abandoning them…
Be wise Yah Ikhwaan!!!

“And remember your Lord within yourself, humbly and with fear and without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful.” (Quran chapter 7 verse 205)
